JOB TITLE: Tournament Traveler - Bowler Services Associate

LOCATION: Tournament Site (Las Vegas, NV or Mooresville, NC)

POSITION TYPE: Temporary, Full-Time

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Bowler Services Supervisor

WORK HOURS: Varying shifts are scheduled seven days per week based on tournament operations. The ability to work early in the mornings, late in the evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours is required.

POSITION SUMMARY:

USBC is looking for dedicated, service-minded individuals to join our tournament team as a Bowler Services Associate. Bowler Services team members are responsible for celebrating bowler achievements, distributing awards, and supporting incentive programs that enhance the tournament experience. Bowler Services Associates play a key role in creating a positive and memorable environment, contributing directly to the success of USBC Championship events.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Information resources and research - participation records, membership, local services, and other general information.
• Distribute onsite awards.     
• Prepare, post, and distribute daily announcements and associated awards.   
• Regularly participate in scheduled meetings and huddles. Keep tournament leaders apprised of department activities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

•       Computer and communication systems literate - PC, multi-line phone systems, two-way radios, and Microsoft Office

•       Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive participant, financial, personnel, scoring, and operational information.

EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or continuing education.
• Familiarity with bowling and tournament bowling terminology. 
• Experience working in a fast-paced service environment.
• Must be neat and well-groomed always as will have frequent contact with guests, clients, and supporting staff.
• Adaptable and flexible approach to changing operational needs.
• Must pass USBC’s Registered Volunteer Program (RVP) background screening and adhere to the Code of Conduct of the USBC Registered Volunteer Program (RVP).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to work in an occasionally noisy and intemperate environment.
• Must be mobile as well as sit or stand for extended periods.

TRAVEL: This position will require the employee to be on-site for the Championships, so relocation is required for up to 6 months at a time.
