Tool Technician

Location: Greensboro, NC

Position Type: Tooling, Engineering, Manufacturing

Overview:

The Tool Technician is responsible for leading an injection molding PM tool room through troubleshooting, precision measurement and mold inspection skills. Operate assigned make of CNC or manual machine(s).

Responsibilities:

Perform injection mold maintenance to include disassembly, cleaning, insert changing, and basic repair.
Maintain the preventive maintenance records for tooling per established procedures.
Assure tool readiness according to the production schedule.
Recommend changes required to part design, tool design or equipment capability to achieve acceptable quality and cost requirements.
Participate and offer input to corrective and preventive action and continuous improvement projects.
Maintain proper housekeeping practices and mold storage requirements.
Communicate with company employees in a positive, team-oriented manner.
Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping and standards.

Qualifications:

Must have experience with injection molding & tools.
Must have ability to work in a high-pace environment in the support injection molding production.
Mold design, troubleshooting, and repair are required.
Successful candidate will possess time management skills and the ability to prioritize workflow to meet production requirements.
