REPORTS TO: Vice President or Designee

COMPENSATION: $20.00 - $25.00 /per hour, depending on experience

POSITION TYPE: Part-Time, Non-Exempt, On-Call

LOCATION: Remote/hybrid with required travel to school sites, employer locations, partner sites, and events as needed

SCHEDULE: On-call as needed

POSITION SUMMARY

Tomorrow’s Talent is seeking a mission-driven, energetic, and student-centered Workshop Facilitator to support students and young adults as they build the confidence, communication skills, professionalism, and workplace readiness needed for future career success.

The Workshop Facilitator plays a key role in delivering Tomorrow’s Talent’s workforce readiness curriculum through workshops, small group sessions, and individual coaching. This position is responsible for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment where students feel seen, encouraged, and prepared to take their next step toward meaningful career opportunities.

This role is ideal for someone who has a heart for service, enjoys working with students, and can bring structure, positivity, and real-world relevance into the classroom. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who can facilitate engaging sessions, adapt to different student groups, follow through on documentation and reporting requirements, and represent Tomorrow’s Talent with professionalism and care.

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is someone who believes deeply in Tomorrow’s Talent’s mission to help students and young adults access meaningful career opportunities. This person brings positive energy, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping students grow. They are dependable, prepared, adaptable, and comfortable leading groups while also providing individual support when needed. Most importantly, they understand that workforce readiness is not just about teaching skills; it is about helping students recognize their value, build confidence, and see what is possible for their future.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate engaging workforce readiness workshops using Tomorrow’s Talent’s pre-designed curriculum.

  • Deliver sessions on topics such as professionalism, communication, workplace etiquette, problem-solving, teamwork, conflict resolution, goal setting, and career readiness.

  • Review and adapt lesson plans, activities, and examples to meet the needs of different classrooms, student groups, learning styles, and age levels.

  • Lead interactive activities, discussions, role-play exercises, and real-world scenarios that help students practice workplace skills.

  • Provide individual and small group coaching, encouragement, and constructive feedback to support student growth.

  • Observe student participation, assess progress informally, and document readiness, engagement, and skill development.

  • Collect attendance, student feedback, workshop outcomes, and other required program information.

  • Enter and maintain accurate data in required systems, including case notes, participation records, progress updates, and reporting documentation.

  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, program coordinators, and Tomorrow’s Talent team members to support scheduling, logistics, communication, and successful program delivery.

  • Support assigned Tomorrow’s Talent events, including field trips, employer visits, trainings, conferences, advisory events, skills panels, job fairs, and other career-connected learning activities.

  • Help maintain positive relationships with students, schools, employers, clients, subcontractors, and community partners.

  • Represent Tomorrow’s Talent professionally and positively in classrooms, school sites, employer settings, and community events.

  • Support additional program, training, administrative, or event-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Reliable transportation required for school site visits, employer visits, events, and other assigned in-person activities.

  • Ability to facilitate engaging presentations and connect with diverse student audiences.

  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently, arrive prepared, and follow through on assigned responsibilities.

  • Comfort using technology, including virtual meeting platforms, email, shared documents, databases, and other program systems.

  • Ability to maintain accurate records, enter data, and document student participation and program outcomes.

  • Ability to communicate professionally in writing, including reports, messages, notes, and follow-up communication.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle student, program, and partner information with care.

  • Positive, dependable, flexible, and solutions-focused approach to work.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in youth development, education, workforce development, coaching, mentoring, training, public speaking, or group leadership preferred.

  • Experience working with students, young adults, schools, community programs, or career readiness programs preferred.

  • Familiarity with employability skills, workplace readiness, internships, work-based learning, or career technical education preferred.

  • Experience facilitating workshops, classroom activities, small groups, or student-facing sessions preferred.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.

  • This role may be appropriate for a college internship or early-career opportunity for candidates enrolled in college or pursuing a related field.

This is a part-time position and is not eligible for full-time employee benefits, except as required by applicable law or company policy. Tomorrow’s Talent offers benefit programs to eligible employees as outlined in its employee benefit materials. EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is classified as Part-Time, Non-Exempt in accordance with applicable California wage and hour laws.

This role is primarily remote and operates in a professional office and virtual work environment. The position requires regular communication with internal team members and may involve communication with students, school partners, employer partners, vendors, and community stakeholders. Although the position is remote, the employee must be available to travel to Tomorrow’s Talent’s main office in San Bernardino, school sites, employer locations, partner meetings, trainings, and events as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, and travel for extended periods

  • Communicate verbally and in writing

  • Use standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and virtual meeting platforms

  • Lift, carry, organize, or transport light program materials, supplies, or event items

  • Support in-person trainings, onboarding sessions, school-based activities, and events as assigned
