Summary:

The To-Go / Dining Expediter is responsible for coordinating and executing all take-out and to-go dining orders at Corso Atlanta, ensuring each order is prepared accurately, packaged appropriately, and delivered or provided for pickup in a timely and professional manner.

This position serves as an important connection between the culinary team, dining room, and residents. The To-Go / Dining Expediter will manage meal tickets, verify order accuracy and presentation, coordinate lunch and dinner to-go meal delivery, and ensure residents receive the same high level of service and attention whether dining in the restaurant or enjoying a meal elsewhere.

During periods of lower to-go volume, this position will support dining room operations by assisting with meal tickets, expediting food, verifying orders, delivering meals to tables, and supporting the service team as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties:

To-Go & Take-Out Service 

Coordinate all resident and guest take-out, pickup, and to-go orders for assigned dining venues.
Receive and accurately enter meal orders and meal tickets into the appropriate ordering system.
Review all orders for accuracy, including menu selections, modifications, special requests, and dietary instructions.
Communicate clearly with culinary team members regarding order details, changes, timing, and special requests.
Monitor the status of to-go orders to ensure meals are completed and delivered within established service expectations.
Verify each completed order against the corresponding meal ticket before it leaves the kitchen. 
Ensure all food is packaged neatly, securely, and appropriately for take-out or delivery.
Confirm that each order includes all necessary items, including beverages, sides, condiments, utensils, and other requested items.
Organize completed orders for resident pickup and ensure they are provided to the correct resident or guest.
Deliver lunch and dinner to-go meals to designated resident locations as assigned.
Maintain professionalism and exceptional hospitality during all resident interactions and deliveries.

Dining Room & Expediting Support 

Assist with entering and organizing meal tickets during service.
Serve as a liaison between culinary and front-of-house teams to support efficient and timely meal service.
Review plated food against meal tickets to confirm accuracy before meals are delivered.
Verify appropriate table numbers, resident names, modifications, sides, and other order details.
Assist with expediting food from the kitchen to the dining room.
Deliver meals to tables during downtime or as needed to support servers and overall dining room operations.
Communicate delays, missing items, incorrect orders, or other concerns promptly to the appropriate team member.
Assist servers, hosts/hostesses, and other dining associates as needed to maintain efficient service.
Help maintain an organized and efficient flow of food from the kitchen to residents and guests.

Service & Quality Standards

Ensure all meals meet Corso's expectations for accuracy, presentation, timeliness, and quality before leaving the kitchen.
Handle resident concerns or order discrepancies professionally and work quickly with the culinary and dining teams to resolve them.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked to-go and expediting area.
Follow established food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times.
Demonstrate attention to detail when handling dietary restrictions, allergies, modifications, and special requests.
Maintain a sense of urgency while ensuring accuracy is never compromised.
Provide warm, courteous, and personalized service to residents, families, and guests.
Support Corso's commitment to creating an exceptional dining and hospitality experience.

Teamwork & General Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with culinary, front-of-house, and community team members.
Participate in pre-shift meetings and remain informed regarding daily specials, menu changes, resident preferences, special events, and operational updates.
Assist with opening, closing, stocking, cleaning, and other dining-related duties as assigned.
Maintain professional appearance and conduct consistent with Corso's service standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned based on the needs of the dining operation.

 
Qualifications: Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous restaurant, food service, hospitality, server, food runner, expeditor, or to-go experience preferred.
Senior living, hotel, restaurant, or hospitality experience is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately review multiple orders in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain organization during busy meal periods.
Ability to work effectively as part of both front-of-house and culinary teams.
Comfortable using point-of-sale or meal-ordering systems.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including lunch and dinner shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
