Job Overview
Burr Ridge Truck Repair, an entity of GTS Transportation, is hiring a full-time Tire Mounting Technician (1099 independent contractor) to safely remove, mount, balance, and repair tires on semi-trucks and trailers at our Burr Ridge, IL location, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Burr Ridge Truck Repair is part of GTS Transportation Corporation, a family-owned freight carrier with 400+ drivers, running dry-van, refrigerated, flatbed, expedited, and oversize freight. Our shop keeps every truck and trailer safe and moving, and you will be a key part of that team.

Key Responsibilities

• Remove and install commercial truck and trailer tires
• Mount, demount, balance, and rotate tires
• Inspect tires for wear, damage, and safety concerns
• Repair tires and replace valves and related components as needed
• Properly inflate tires to recommended specifications
• Operate tire mounting and balancing equipment safely
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all shop safety procedures and company policies
• Assist technicians with other shop duties when needed

Qualifications

• Previous commercial truck tire experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to safely handle heavy tires and equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable, hardworking, and safety-conscious

Schedule and Engagement Details

• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Engagement type: 1099 independent contractor. This is not a W-2 employee position and does not include employee benefits. The contractor is responsible for their own taxes.
