Responsibilities

As a Georgia Therapist at Health Connect America, you'll provide high-quality therapeutic services that promote emotional wellness, strengthen family relationships, and support positive behavioral health outcomes. Through assessment, treatment planning, therapy, and collaboration, you'll help individuals and families achieve meaningful and lasting change.

What You'll Do

As a Georgia Therapist, you'll work closely with clients, families, treatment teams, and community partners to deliver comprehensive behavioral health services. Day to day, you can expect to:

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and utilize evidence-based assessment tools to identify client needs and develop individualized treatment recommendations
• Create treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives tailored to each individual's unique strengths, challenges, and circumstances
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based interventions that address concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, and other mental health conditions
• Maintain consistent engagement with clients and families, monitor treatment progress, and adjust interventions as needed to support positive outcomes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, schools, healthcare providers, and community resources to ensure coordinated, holistic care
• Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, referrals, and connections to community resources while maintaining timely and accurate documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards

What to Expect

You'll balance direct clinical services, care coordination, treatment planning, and community engagement activities to help clients achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

Success in this position requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, sound judgment, and a commitment to providing person-centered, culturally responsive care. You'll also participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities designed to strengthen your clinical expertise and support career growth.

Additional Responsibilities for IFI/FCT Therapists

Therapists assigned to provide Intensive Family Intervention (IFI) services using the Family Centered Treatment (FCT) model will also:

• Deliver intensive in-home and community-based therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and families
• Utilize the evidence-based Family Centered Treatment model and maintain fidelity to all program standards
• Guide families through all phases of the FCT process using approved therapeutic interventions
• Complete all required FCT documentation, fidelity tools, and model-specific requirements
• Obtain FCT certification within one year of employment
• Complete required check-offs, internal trainings, supervision activities, and fidelity reviews within designated timeframes
• Maintain adherence to ongoing certification and program requirements necessary for continued participation in the FCT program

Qualifications

We welcome candidates who bring a passion for helping others and meet the following qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field required
• Minimum of two years of experience working with children and/or families, including internships
• Must be eligible for professional licensure in Georgia as a:
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapeutic practices
• Experience providing family-focused, community-based, or child and adolescent behavioral health services preferred
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current vehicle insurance required
