THE ROLE
Lakeshirts started in 1984 serving resort retailers in and around Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Since then, we've grown into a nationally recognized supplier of apparel and accessories found in destination retail stores across the United States. Through exceptional artwork, premium products, and a commitment to WOWing our customers, we've earned a leading position in the resort apparel market.
As a Territory Sales Representative, you'll work along side our National Sales Manager to drive revenue growth, strengthen customer partnerships, and expand our presence throughout Texas. You'll represent an established product line that includes resort apparel, headwear, socks, stickers, and lifestyle accessories while helping retailers offer fun products their customers will love.
We're looking for a driven sales professional who enjoys developing new business, managing accounts, growing a territory, and building long-term customer relationships.
Territory: Texas (anywhere in Texas is acceptable)
PAY + SCHEDULE
This opportunity is structured as a 1099 Independent Sales Representative role with commission-based compensation.
You will have flexibility in how you manage your schedule. Build customer relationships, visit accounts, and grow your territory on your own terms. The more you sell, the greater your earning potential.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop and nurture relationships with both existing customers and prospective accounts
- Expand sales within your territory through proactive outreach and consistent follow-up
- Share products that highlight our artwork, quality, and unique story
- Identify and secure new retail partners to increase territory growth
- Stay informed on new product releases, market trends, and seasonal opportunities
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Deliver exceptional service that encourages repeat purchases and customer loyalty
- Travel regularly throughout Texas to support customers and pursue new opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous sales experience in apparel, resort, leisure, outdoor, or related custom products preferred
- Demonstrated success in prospecting and generating new business opportunities
- Strong communication and relationship-management abilities
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own territory
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and results
- Experience using a CRM platform is helpful
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory

Lakeshirts is a custom apparel decorating company that started in our owner’s parents’ basement in 1984. We have since grown to an $200 million+ company in a 275,000 square foot facility. Our production floor includes 48 automatic screenprint presses, 32 multi-head embroidery machines, six 60-foot laser appliqué bridges, three sublimation presses, and a number of dogs running around the place.
Lakeshirts sales continue to grow, as does its profitability, due to the hard work and continuous improvement efforts of its 500+ employees and over 60 nation-wide reps.
Lakeshirts provides decorated apparel to thousands of customers in the resort and college markets, being a preferred choice to customers based on its breadth of great designs, great garments in its inventory, and reliable and responsive delivery.
With more than 40 artists on our staff, we create thousands of pieces of art each year, giving each customer a unique look. We have over 100 bodystyles in stock, and each one comes in a multitude of colors, totaling more than 1,000,000 pieces in our inventory.
