Territory Leadership-Vice President Community Engagement and Stewardship

Blood Cancer United is a mission centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization, relentlessly pursuing cancer cures. To help achieve this mission, the Vice President, Community Engagement & Stewardship provides strategic leadership for the development and execution of community engagement, volunteer leadership, and stewardship initiatives that strengthen the recruitment, engagement, development, and retention of territory and regional volunteers and key constituents.

Core Responsibilities/ Primary Duties

• Work in partnerships with Blood Cancer United leadership to enhance engagement and stewardship of various volunteer groups.
• Serve as a strategic leader in enterprise-wide initiatives, such as National Volunteer Week
• Partner with Territory Vice Presidents and Executive Directors to establish priorities and key performance indicators for Region Board of Trustees.
• Foster collaboration among territories, regions, and mission teams.
• Lead volunteer management technology, programs, processes, and standards

• Provide oversight of volunteer recruitment, training, engagement, and stewardship.
•  Extract, organize, synthesize and distribute select volunteer engagement key performance indications to Blood Cancer United leaders.  
• Serve as business lead with Technology on volunteer management systems.
• Lead, coach, and develop Community Engagement & Stewardship team members

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• Experience working with executive volunteer leaders and boards.
• Experience leading enterprise initiatives and organizational change.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Expert knowledge of volunteer engagement, stewardship, constituent relations, and nonprofit leadership principles.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Professional office or remote work environment with domestic travel as needed.

We are excited to share the base pay range for this position is $114,000 to $175,000. The offered compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Blood Cancer United we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the current compensation of similarly situated roles and direct team members. Base compensation is only one component of our Total Rewards program, which also includes an annual incentive plan and a competitive benefits package.
