Job Purpose:

The Tennis Pro Shop Attendant maintains the pro shop environment by keeping the shop neat and orderly. Assists guests by selling merchandise and providing information in a professional manner works with the Tennis Pro to ensure proper rotation of inventory and display.  Assists Members and guests on the telephone and at the Tennis Pro Shop desk.

Job Duties:

Adheres to the Gasparilla Inn and Club’s 4 Steps to Memorable Service.
Exhibits the Gasparilla Inn and Club’s Core Values.
Assist with court grooming ex sweeping courts, cleaning lines, ect.
Restocking imperative items for court play ex, water, towels, ect.
Performs opening and closing procedures for the shop as determined by management 
Responsible for accountability of POS transactions made.
Collects applicable fees from members/guests and outside patrons as they arrive
Makes court, clinic, lesson and special event reservations, in person or by phone
Assists guests by selling merchandise and providing information in a professional manner
Assists with rotating stock and keeping displays clean and orderly
Assists with general cleaning of the shop or store
Assist shop supervisor with creating appealing displays
Assists with monthly physical inventories
Schedules and assigns court times
Books lessons and clinics for Members and guests
Assists Members and guests on the telephone and at the tennis Pro Shop desk
May work with coaches to facilitate orderly start and play times
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
Regular and reliable attendance.
Performs other duties as required/needed
All other duties as assigned

Working Conditions and Assignments:

This is a seasonal part time position working holidays and weekends as needed.
This position is in various settings on the property. The position requires 90% standing, bending, twisting, kneeling pushing, sprinting, pulling, sitting, and a moderate to high degree of physical exertion while instructing guests and members. Will need to lift approximately 75 lbs.
This position will need to be able to safely drive a golf cart and may have frequent exposure to outside weather conditions throughout the day. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Required:

Ability to communicate in a professional with fellow team members, guest and members in a professional manner.
Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English)

Preferred:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Retail sales experience is preferred
Computer proficiency including but not limited POS, Microsoft Office applications, social media and other programs related to tennis such as Court Reserve
