Job Summary:
The School of Rehabilitative and Health Sciences is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to provide patient-centered physical therapy services at RegisCARES, the University’s on-campus faculty practice, and at Tepeyac Community Health Center. This position is expected to work 10–15 hours per week and requires fluency in Spanish to effectively serve a diverse patient population.
The PRN Physical Therapist will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to students, faculty, staff, and community members while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams across both clinical sites.
The estimated end date of the position is 7/31/26.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide skilled physical therapy evaluation, treatment, and education to patients across assigned clinical sites.

Deliver care in compliance with the Colorado Physical Therapy Practice Act, including maintaining professional competence, current licensure, BLS/CPR certification, and appropriate documentation.

Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Adhere to all policies and procedures of RegisCARES and Tepeyac Community Health Center, including clinical, documentation, and compliance standards.

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.

Establish and maintain professional, collaborative relationships with patients, staff, faculty, and peer clinicians.

Demonstrate ethical practice, sound clinical judgment, and patient-centered decision-making.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education
-
Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist education program, OR
-
Internationally educated physical therapist licensed to practice in the United States.
Licensure & Certification
-
Current, active Colorado Physical Therapist license.

Current BLS/CPR certification.
Experience
-
Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical patient care experience as a licensed physical therapist.
Language Requirement

Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (required).
WORKING CONDITIONS:

Clinical work is performed in outpatient clinic environments.

Work may occur across multiple clinical locations.

Typical physical demands of an outpatient physical therapy setting.
Other Requirements

Ability to work 10–15 hours per week on a PRN basis.

Willingness to work at both RegisCARES and Tepeyac Community Health Center as scheduled.
