Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)
- Assign and top-edit 20–30 digital stories per month, including articles, listicles, and galleries focused on decorating, DIY, cleaning and organizing, entertaining, holidays, and gardening.
- Collaborate closely with the Home Design Director to ensure content aligns with audience growth, traffic goals, and overall editorial strategy.
- Program key home content sections on a weekly basis to maximize discoverability and reader engagement.
- Ensure all content meets Good Housekeeping's editorial standards for accuracy, quality, voice, and SEO best practices.
- Mentor and provide thoughtful editorial guidance to freelance and junior writers, helping elevate the quality of published content.
- Identify timely trends and develop fresh, innovative story ideas that resonate with home and lifestyle audiences.
- Partner with cross-functional editorial teams to support content planning and execution across digital platforms.
Qualifications (What We're Looking For)
- 7+ years of experience producing and editing digital editorial content, preferably covering home, design, lifestyle, or related topics.
- Demonstrated experience assigning, editing, and publishing high-performing digital content.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with strong attention to detail.
- Passion for home design, decorating, DIY, gardening, cleaning, and organizing content.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh ideas and adapt to evolving audience interests.
- Experience mentoring writers and providing constructive editorial feedback.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- This is a remote position.
The hourly pay range for this role is $40.00–$50.00 per hour. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
