About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused Temporary General Dentist to join our established practice in Washington, D.C., while our primary provider is on maternity leave.
This full-time temporary position runs from December 2026 through April 2027. You will be joining a supportive, highly skilled team and taking over a well-maintained, full patient caseload from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver proficient care and comprehensive general dentistry care to patients of all ages (examinations, restorations, endodontics, extractions, crowns/bridges, and preventative care).
- Formulate, discuss, and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Direct and supervise dental hygienists and dental assistants.
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic dental records (EDR) in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA & HIPAA.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school.
- Licensure: Active and unrestricted Dental License in the District of Columbia (D.C.).
- Certifications: Active DEA license and CPR/BLS certification.
- Experience: Minimum of [1–2+] years of clinical practice preferred.
- Strong communication, diagnostic, and interpersonal skills with a commitment to excellent patient care.
