Position Details:

Job Title: Temporary Benefits Assistant
Location: Brighton, MA – Onsite
Hours: 29 hours per week, depending on availability and demand.
Hourly Range: $24-26/hr. Competitive salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Position Summary:  Boston College is seeking a Temporary Benefits Assistant to support the daily operations of the Benefits Office.  This role will provide administrative assistance with employee benefits, respond to phone and email inquiries, and assist in processing various enrollment forms and employee notices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to employee benefit inquiries via email, phone, and in-person.
• Process retirement plan enrollment forms and Salary Reduction Agreements, entering data into the PeopleSoft
• HR/Payroll system.
• Assist in processing tuition remission vouchers.
• Support the Assistant Director with retiree billing matters and coordination with vendors.
• Assist with processing Retiree Medical Savings Account notices and related activities.
• In general, assist with daily administrative processes as needed.

Requirements

• Available to start in early October or earlier
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace
• 1–2 years of HR or Benefits experience (preferred)
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proven follow-through and ability to work independently
• Ability to work with little supervision and have a respect for confidentiality.
