Summary
The Accounting Specialist will primarily focus on payroll processing and related financial functions. They will also support the department with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger transactions, and financial data management.
Job Description
We are looking for a temporary Accounting Specialist to support our Finance team at the Operations Center. This temporary assignment is expected to last 3–6 months.
This position will have a primary focus on payroll processing and payroll-related functions, while also providing support in other areas of the Accounting Department as needed. Responsibilities may include payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger transactions, reconciliations, reporting, and other related accounting activities. The position is also responsible for accurately entering, reviewing, and resolving issues with financial data in the District's financial software programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of related accounting experience required; five (5) years preferred.
- Customer service and lead worker experience required.
