The Teaching Artist will prepare and deliver dance lesson plans for children and older students while providing choreography for performances. Additionally, they will attend staff meetings, follow the program curriculum, and assist with backstage support during events.

At The Hiland Theater we are currently seeking teachers with experience and passion in working with children ages 6-12, versed in one or more of the following disciplines: ballet, jazz, modern/contemporary, tap, and hip-hop; we are also seeking hip-hop and breaking teachers for older students as well.
Instructors prepare lesson plans for classes, and choreography for performances
General Artistic Duties:
Attends all enrichment workshops and staff meetings as needed
Follows NDI New Mexico program curriculum set by program director
Provides program director with required materials and information as needed
Supports performances by working backstage
Subbing classes when available
Other duties as needed and mutually agreed upon
