Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are looking for temporary candidates who are patient, energetic, and dedicated to helping adults meet their personal goals. If you enjoy supporting people with disabilities in integrating into their community and becoming more independent, then EPIC has the perfect opportunity for you.

Get started today by meeting the following minimum qualifications:
- Excellent communication, good judgment, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Provide continuous supervision and prompting for safety concerns.
- Pre-trained with all DDA mandated training and maintain renewals for First Aid, CPR, Certified Medication Technician, Abuse/Neglect, OSHA, and MANDT
- Assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment and have the ability to recognize safety issues.
- A local, valid U.S. driver’s license with no more than 3 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years or any major violations in the past 5 years; You will be required to use your personal vehicle daily
- Ability to successfully pass basic skills tests.
SHIFT HOURS/DAYS:
This position has Part-time opportunities and is classified as Essential/On-Call with weekday/weekend work hours.
1. Flexible last weekend of the month based on need
2. Saturday 9:00 am - 6:15 pm
3. Saturday 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
4. Wednesday 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm; Thursday 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm; Friday 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Note: Hours cannot exceed 29 hours per week.

EPIC was founded in response to the realization of a group of parents that their children with disabilities would have no services or supports after graduation from special education classes. These parents banded together to devise a program that would enable their children and others to become gainfully employed adults.
Over the years, EPIC evolved from primarily helping people with intellectual challenges get jobs to providing an array of support services. For thirty years we have helped people become involved in their communities by pairing them with employers for jobs they enjoy working. Soon after, in 1989 we expanded our services to accommodate the needs of people’s housing limitations and opened our first community home. We now, provide services directly in the homes of families where reliable, trained professionals teach people various skills and attend community activities. Although we primarily provide services in Prince George’s county we also provide limited service in Montgomery and Charles counties.
