Job Title: Telephone Operator Receptionist Department: Communications Shift: VariableDaily Work Times: VariableScheduled Biweekly Hours: 0 Position Summary:Responsible for operating the main hospital switchboard equipment; handling incoming and outgoing calls; interfacing with all hospital departments, physicians, nursing units, patients, and others; operating the public address and overhead paging systems, using the computer terminal; receiving the public at the information desk.
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate related telephone equipment
- 3 months experience utilizing Windows based functionality and programs
- Ability to enunciate and communicate effectively in a courteous, controlled, and tactful manner under various levels of stress.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
