The core focus will be to represent Confluence suite of solutions to various personas from business users to C-Level executives. The Technical Sales Specialist will be instrumental in assisting in lead qualification, technical product demonstrations that align Confluence product vision to the customer’s goals. Via solution selling, the role will be responsible for demonstrating the value of Confluence’s products and services and leveraging your expertise to ensure clients and prospects achieve optimal business outcomes.  The Technical Sales Specialist will be responsible for working with global asset managers, asset owners, service providers and allocators to identify, scope and implement Confluence product portfolio solutions.  

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical expert for Confluence portfolio of products and services.  
• Working with Enterprise Sales Directors, you will contribute to the project strategy from identification, through proof of concept, to close. You will help to scope pre-sales meetings and follow-up activities, including POCs, reporting product and technical meetings
• In parallel to directly working in sales opportunities, as part of the TSS team, you will help to push the sales team’s level of expertise forward through regular product feature and benefit training, assisting with product slides and ensuing you keep up to date with the latest industry trends
• Leveraging Salesforce.com to effectively capture all important insights, notes, and context from in-person meetings, calls, and emails to drive effective forecasting and management of your sales pipeline
• Staying current on industry trends and developing in-depth knowledge of clients/prospects and their unique needs to enable you to effectively educate them about how Confluence solutions and services will help them profitably manage and transform their businesses
• Act as trusted advisor to prospects and clients. 
• Partner with internal product teams to share market intelligence and drive product enhancements.
• Represent Confluence at Industry events.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Education 

• Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited University or equivalent industry experience (Financial Mathematics, Computational Science or Financial Engineering)

Experience

• 5+ years of pre-sales experience, including experience of software solutions
• Experience working in the performance, attribution and risk segments of the financial services industry.  
• Relevant working experience in either servicing the financial industry or at sell side or buy-side firm
