Technical Recruiter

This remote role offers the opportunity to lead full-lifecycle recruiting for highly technical and cleared positions supporting government contract programs.
You will serve as a strategic recruiting partner to hiring managers, proposal teams, and program stakeholders.
The role combines proactive talent sourcing with contract labor category mapping, workforce planning, candidate assessment, and offer management.
You will help build staffing strategies for new proposals and rapidly identify qualified professionals for critical program needs.
A strong focus on military aviation, engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and government contracting will help you navigate specialized talent markets.
You will also use recruiting technology, AI-powered tools, and data-driven insights to improve sourcing efficiency and hiring outcomes.

Accountabilities:

• Serve as the recruiting lead for assigned programs, partnering with hiring managers to define role requirements, key performance indicators, must-have qualifications, and candidate profiles.
• Develop compelling, role-specific job descriptions and postings designed to attract qualified technical and cleared talent.
• Build and execute proactive sourcing strategies across LinkedIn, HireEZ, applicant tracking systems, referrals, niche forums, industry events, and other relevant channels.
• Identify, engage, and assess passive candidates for specialized technical and government contract positions.
• Evaluate candidate experience against contract labor categories and determine alignment with PWS and SOW requirements.
• Partner with proposal teams to develop staffing plans and rapidly identify candidates for capture and proposal efforts.
• Conduct candidate screening, interviews, reference checks, assessments, and offer negotiations through successful close.
• Present concise, qualified candidate slates using structured, scorecard-based evaluations.
• Track and analyze recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline velocity, submittal-to-interview ratios, and offer acceptance rates.
• Use recruiting data to prioritize requisitions, identify sourcing bottlenecks, and continuously improve recruiting funnels.
• Support contract transitions, onboarding activities, site visits, career fairs, and occasional client-facing recruiting activities.
• Help establish and improve HR and recruiting processes as the organization scales.
• Serve as a recruiting brand ambassador and represent the organization professionally with candidates, clients, hiring managers, and external partners.
• Apply AI recruiting technologies, including candidate search, resume parsing, and LLM-assisted outreach, to improve sourcing, screening, and targeted candidate engagement.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of direct, full-lifecycle experience recruiting technical talent in aviation, manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, or Department of War contract environments.
• US citizenship is required.
• High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Proven experience recruiting candidates for cleared positions, with experience identifying and engaging candidates holding Secret-level or higher clearances.
• Strong understanding of military aviation and technical talent markets is preferred.
• Experience evaluating candidate qualifications against PWS and SOW requirements and mapping professional experience to government contract labor categories (LCATs).
• Experience supporting proposals and staffing strategies for GSA/SIN or other government contract vehicles is preferred.
• Demonstrated success recruiting and closing senior-level technical professionals for government programs.
• Experience building HR and recruiting processes from the ground up, particularly in growing organizations.
• Strong experience acting as an employer brand ambassador and representing an organization to specialized talent communities.
• Ability to support recruiting across multiple worksites and diverse contract types.
• Demonstrated experience using AI recruiting tools for candidate discovery, resume screening, candidate matching, and targeted outreach.
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and recruiting CRMs, including pipeline management, automation workflows, and candidate nurture sequences.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to advise hiring managers, align teams on competencies, and deliver structured candidate scorecards.
• Data-driven approach to recruiting, with experience using hiring metrics to prioritize requisitions and improve recruiting performance.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, organization, negotiation, and candidate engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of candidate and stakeholder experience.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% for career fairs, client locations, onboarding activities, and other business needs.
