Technical Program Manager - New Product Introduction & Production Ramp Up

Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Technical Program Manager - New Product Introduction & Production Ramp Up. This is a remote position with up to 25% anticipated travel.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $86,000 - $126,000 a year.

Eaton's fastest-growing data center segment seeks an experienced Project Manager for new product introduction and production ramp-up. The role involves managing complex, multi-team projects and requires proven success in delivering results on time and within scope. Candidates should possess technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to drive accountability across teams.

What you’ll do:

• Own end-to-end project management across multiple concurrent projects — from scoping and scheduling through execution, risk mitigation, and closeout.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans (scope, schedule, budget, critical path) aligned to business case commitments and stakeholder expectations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams spanning engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, finance, and commercial functions across multiple geographies and time zones.
• Drive accountability without direct line authority — influencing team members, functional managers, and senior leaders to maintain commitments and resolve roadblocks.
• Leverage technical understanding of project work to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, identify risks early, and validate that deliverables meet requirements.
• Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks and issues; develop mitigation plans and escalate as appropriate to keep projects on track.
• Establish a consistent project reporting cadence: prepare and present project status updates, metrics dashboards, and executive summaries to stakeholders and leadership.
• Facilitate structured phase-gate and milestone reviews; coordinate readiness assessments across commercial, technical, and operational dimensions.
• Drive alignment on scope, priorities, and resources across sites and functions — resolving conflicts constructively and creating clarity where ambiguity exists.
• Manage project change control — evaluate change requests for schedule, cost, and scope impact, and obtain approvals before implementation.
• Conduct lessons-learned sessions at project closeout and contribute to continuous improvement of the project management processes, tools, and standards.
• Partner with functional leaders to staff projects appropriately and clearly define team member roles and accountabilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive project or program management experience, with demonstrated success delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects.

You will set yourself apart by demonstrating some or all of the following:

• Eaton PROLaunch or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or engineering-intensive environment.
• Familiarity with ProLaunch, PMBOK, or equivalent stage-gate project management frameworks.
• Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt or higher; experience applying CI tools in a project context.
• Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar) and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience managing projects across international sites or in a global matrix organization.

• Proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects from initiation through closeout, consistently meeting schedule, scope, and quality commitments.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams — including remote and matrixed team members — and achieving results without direct authority.
• Sufficient technical understanding of the subject matter (manufacturing, engineering, or operations processes) to ask the right questions, identify gaps, and validate work products.

• Structured communication: Presents complex project status clearly and concisely to executive, technical, and operational audiences; tailors message to the room.
• Risk thinking: Anticipates problems before they become crises; proactively surfaces issues with proposed solutions rather than just escalating problems.
• Adaptability: Comfortable managing ambiguity and shifting priorities across a dynamic, multi-project environment; adjusts plans without losing sight of end goals.
• Cross-cultural collaboration: Builds effective working relationships across geographies, functions, and organizational levels; inclusive of diverse perspectives and work styles.
