Company Overview:
Beam Therapeutics is a biotechnology company committed to establishing the leading, fully integrated platform for precision genetic medicines. To achieve this vision, Beam has assembled a platform with integrated gene editing, delivery and internal manufacturing capabilities. Beam’s suite of gene editing technologies is anchored by base editing, a proprietary technology that is designed to enable precise, predictable and efficient single base changes, at targeted genomic sequences, without making double-stranded breaks in the DNA. This has the potential to enable a wide range of therapeutic editing strategies that Beam is using to advance a diversified portfolio of base editing programs. Beam is a values-driven organization committed to its people, cutting-edge science, and a vision of providing life-long cures to patients suffering from serious diseases.

As a part of these cross-functional teams, the candidate will have the opportunity to interact with various functions involved with supporting the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry, including R&D (process and analytical development), Manufacturing, Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT), Quality (both Quality Control and Quality Assurance), Supply Chain, and Procurement to help the candidate explore potential career options in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:

- Review and verify technical and scientific data included in risk assessments, protocols, and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and data integrity in support of project timelines and milestones.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and any identified issues from verification activities to cross-functional teams through written summaries, presentations, and verbal updates, supporting timely resolution and project milestones.
- Support the evaluation and documentation of manufacturing process data, ensuring records are accurate, attributable, legible, and compliant, while identifying potential issues and recommending solutions.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering (Chemical, Biological, Mechanical) or the Biological Sciences (Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field), required.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio, and retrieving scientific or technical information from digital sources (e.g., databases and scientific literature), required.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, required.
