Technical Lab Specialist 24N

Job Summary

The Technical Laboratory Specialist performs a variety of data entry, verification and other related computer functions, including generation and distribution of reports.  Handles receipt and routing of lab specimens, provides test results, performs secretarial support duties and other job-related duties as requested.

Duties & Responsibilities

Performs data entry and generation of various reports and documents.
Coordinates receipt and routing of specimens.
Responds to inquiries for test results.
Provides secretarial support, such as scheduling, answering phones and filing.
Maintains stock, supplies and work area in good order.
Preserves and protects patients' rights to confidentiality.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

High school diploma required with an emphasis in business and data processing background highly desirable. Must have three to six months experience in a similar position and be proficient in the English language.
