Summary
The Salesforce Developer will configure systems, build custom interfaces, and manage data integrations to support STEM education initiatives. They are responsible for designing, testing, and documenting Salesforce solutions while providing ongoing end-user support.
Job Description
Overview
This is a pro-bono volunteer position. It is not suitable for interns.
JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.
Our Salesforce Developers provide custom interfaces to our Salesforce org for the purpose of maintaining and extracing the data needed to provide the accurate and timely information needed for funding and hosting STEM education clubs.
Responsibilities
- Configure system, including objects, fields, and external client apps
- Build and maintain external client app and security configurations to support integrations
- Design, build, test and document custom interfaces to the Salesforce data
- Design and execute complete data imports of related data
- Attend virtual team meetings Thursdays 6:10pm EST
Qualifications
- Salesforce certified developer.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science.
- 5 years of experience as a Salesforce developer in a similar environment.
- Experience designing, building and testing Lightning Web Components.
- Working knowledge of LWR Experience Sites and/or Lightning Out
- Experience building Flows is advantageous, but not required
- Ability to create and maintain Salesforce objects and fields.
- In-depth knowledge of Salesforce products and their functionalities.
- Working knowledge of object, field, and sharing security
- Knowledge of importing and exporting data
- Willingness to learn the JerseySTEM data and provide end-user support.
Requirements
All users of our Salesforce org use experience sites, websites and apps to access the data instead of the trandtional Salesforce UI. Expertise in the following Salesforce tools will not be required:
- Reports. Dashboards and List Views
- Page layout and Lightning Page configurations
- Security based on Roles and Public Groups
- Visualforce
