Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Google Workspace System Admin to join our team.

In this role, you will manage, secure, and optimize JerseySTEM’s Google Workspace environment, driving digital automation and integrating modern AI capabilities to ensure seamless operations across our virtual organization. 

Responsibilities

• System Administration & Operations: Manage user provisioning, security settings, directory modifications, and applications using the Google Workspace Admin Console and Google Apps Manager (GAM).

• Automation & Scripting: Write, test, and deploy custom scripts using Google Apps Script (GAS) or Python (via GCP) to automate repetitive administrative workflows.

• Leadership & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the internal subject matter expert, regularly communicating platform health, strategic updates, and technology needs to TECH leadership.

• Security & Integration: Implement best practices for data security, single sign-on (SSO), and account compliance while assisting with third-party tool integrations.

• User Enablement & Support: Collect user feedback, troubleshoot technical issues, and train internal teams to effectively leverage Google Workspace and Gemini AI tools.

Qualifications

• Mission Alignment: Passionate about empowering the next generation of women in STEM.

• Core Technical Expertise: Five years of Demonstrated experience in Google Workspace administration, security, compliance, and account provisioning (SSO/GAM).

• Scripting & Technical Skills: Experience writing custom automation scripts in Google Apps Script (GAS) or Python.

• AI & Innovation: Familiarity with deploying generative AI (e.g., Gemini AI features) within an organization, including data confidentiality and compliance considerations.

• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and leadership communication skills; comfortable operating in a fully virtual non-profit environment.
