Team Support / Support Staff Job Description

Position Summary
The Team Support Staff member plays an essential role in maintaining the daily flow, organization, and overall success of Kids World Learning Center. This position provides flexible support throughout the center by assisting classrooms, helping maintain cleanliness and organization, supporting teachers and leadership, and ensuring children receive safe, attentive, and high-quality care throughout the day.

Team Support Staff members must be dependable, adaptable, positive, and team-oriented individuals who are willing to step in where needed to help the center operate effectively and efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities

Classroom Support
• Assist lead and assistant teachers with daily classroom activities and routines
• Supervise and engage with children in a safe, nurturing, and positive manner
• Help with transitions, playground supervision, meal times, nap times, and restroom routines
• Support implementation of classroom schedules and activities
• Step into classrooms as needed to maintain ratio requirements

Operational Support
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment throughout the center
• Assist with sanitizing toys, materials, and classroom areas according to health and safety standards
• Support opening and closing procedures when assigned
• Help prepare materials and supplies for classrooms and center activities
• Assist leadership with special events, summer camp activities, and center-wide functions

Team Expectations
• Maintain professionalism and positive communication with children, families, and coworkers
• Follow all center policies, procedures, and licensing regulations
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist in different classrooms and age groups as needed
• Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled shifts
• Work collaboratively with leadership and staff to support a positive center culture

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience working with children preferred but not required
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Must be dependable, responsible, and professional
• Must meet all state licensing requirements and complete required trainings

Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and actively engage with children throughout the day
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds when necessary
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
