Teacher Assistant (School Age)

Locations Hiring:

Shoreway Childcare Center located at 8701 Detroit Rd in Cleveland, Ohio. Hours are a split shift of 7am until 9am and then come back and work 2pm until 5:30pm Monday through Friday. There is a split shift incentive of $1.00 per hour when working a split shift. 

Pay Rate Range: 

Base Pay: $14.00 to 15.50 per hour.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Lead Teacher with daily lesson plans and classroom activities.
Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children
Supervise children and support classroom management in accordance with licensing standards.
Track attendance and other required documentation.
Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive classroom environment.
Assist with meals, classroom support, and daily routines.
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accurate records.
Work collaboratively with staff while supporting children’s individual needs.
Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications: Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience working with children preferred.
Able to lift and carry at least 40 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
