Job Description SummaryOmnicare is a leading provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities nationwide, supporting skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other institutional care settings. Following the sale of Omnicare by CVS Health, this role will support Omnicare and its continued operations as an independent, standalone organization. Candidates should be aware that this role will not remain within CVS Health following the transaction. The individual hired into this role will be employed by Omnicare and will contribute to shaping the future of our organization during this exciting period of growth and transformation.

Manages and reviews all corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. Analyzes financial data, conducts tax research, and identifies tax-saving opportunities for the organization. Collaborates with finance teams, external auditors, and tax authorities to address tax-related matters and provide strategic tax planning advice to optimize the organization's tax position. This includes sales and use and personal property tax along wth entity level state and federal taxes.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Delivers tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position and minimize tax liabilities, identifying tax planning opportunities, evaluating potential tax consequences of business decisions, and providing recommendations to management.

• Ensures that the company complies with all applicable tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.

• Directs outsourced partners to prepare and file corporate income, sales, and property tax returns, working closely with the finance and accounting teams to gather financial data and ensure accurate and timely reporting.

• Reviews audit requests, provides necessary documentation and works with external tax advisors or legal counsel if required, under general direction.

• Conducts comprehensive tax research, interpreting tax laws and regulations, and staying informed about industry-specific tax developments.

• Assesses the tax implications of new business initiatives, mergers, and acquisitions, or other significant transactions.

• Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary financial information for tax filings.

• Implements and monitors internal controls to ensure compliance with tax policies and procedures, assessing tax-related risks and recommending measures to mitigate them.

• Reviews opportunities to insource the functions that are done by external partners today and build team as applicable.

• Provides guidance and training to employees or departments to ensure compliance with tax-related processes and policies.

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.

Prior Relevant Work Experience

5-7 years

Chartered Tax Professional (CTP) preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$60,300.00 - $132,600.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
