Talent Lead (Contract, 6-month)

We're hiring a contract recruiting lead to build the recruiting function and kickstart our talent acquisition engine. We're looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to take our nascent talent acquisition function to the next level.

You will:

• Own the recruiting pipeline end to end across every open requisition, from first application to offer stage

• Design and implement role-specific interview loops in Ashby including stages, coverage grids, feedback forms

• Partner directly with hiring managers to keep every open req moving toward a decision

• Build highly efficient screening workflows using AI to filter and review resumes

• Flag configuration and process defects the moment you find them rather than working around them

• Coordinate scheduling and communication across candidates, interviewers, and hiring managers

• Document the system you build so it survives your engagement

You should apply if:

• You've built or rebuilt a recruiting function from a messy or absent state

• You're passionate about building and want

• You've worked inside and are comfortable navigating Ashby or a comparable modern ATS

• You're comfortable owning both the plumbing (ATS configuration, rubric design) and the people work (candidate communication, interviewer calibration)

• You have experience sourcing and screening candidates for technical roles

This role is not:

• Only a sourcing-only or top-of-funnel role — you own the full loop through to offer

• A role where someone else has already built the process and you're just executing it

• A permanent seat — this is a defined 6-month engagement with an explicit handoff

Compensation for this role is competitive and discussed directly with candidates during the process.
