Talent Acquisition Specialist

Overview

Tyndale is growing our recruiting team hiring an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist who can drive the recruiting process from intake through hire while serving as a trusted, consultative partner to hiring managers. This role combines hands-on full-cycle recruiting with strong process management to keep searches moving, maintain consistent communication and follow-up, manage candidate and hiring-manager activity, and use recruiting data and market insights to optimize the process.

You’ll manage both exempt and non-exempt positions, with a particular focus on IT, technical, and other specialized roles. You’ll proactively identify and engage passive talent, conduct targeted market research, build pipelines, and continually adjust sourcing strategies to reach qualified candidates across areas such as software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data analytics, AI/ML, ERP, and other niche disciplines.

This is a great opportunity for a recruiter who enjoys both sides of talent acquisition: building relationships and influencing hiring strategies while also managing the momentum behind an effective recruiting process. You’ll collaborate closely with hiring managers throughout each search, bring solutions when pipelines are challenging, leverage recruiting technology and AI-enabled tools, and create a responsive, high-quality experience for our candidates and internal partners.

HYBRID/REMOTE: Tyndale supports a strong work-life balance. This opportunity requires onsite work a minimum of 1 day per week, and 4 days per week remotely. To be considered, candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our corporate headquarters in Pipersville, PA (Bucks County) or our location in North Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions from intake and sourcing through screening, selection, offer, and pre-employment requirements.
• Recruit niche IT and technical talent, including software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, ERP, and other specialized areas in addition to the rest of the business.
• Partner consultatively with hiring managers to understand technical and business requirements, define candidate profiles, and develop effective recruiting strategies.
• Build proactive sourcing strategies and talent pipelines for specialized, hard-to-fill, and anticipated hiring needs rather than relying solely on inbound applicants.
• Conduct talent and labor-market research to identify candidate pools, evaluate market conditions, and recommend sourcing approaches.
• Screen and assess candidates for experience, technical alignment, career motivations, compensation expectations, and overall fit.
• Lead regular recruiting status meetings with hiring managers, providing insight into pipeline health, candidate feedback, market conditions, and recommended next steps.
• Monitor recruiting activity and metrics and adjust sourcing channels and strategies when additional or different candidate flow is needed.
• Manage requisitions and candidate workflows in iCIMS, ensuring accurate and timely recruiting data, documentation, and reporting.
• Build relationships with professional networks, colleges/universities, and other talent sources and represent Tyndale at recruiting and employer-brand events.
• Deliver a professional, responsive, and consistent candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
• Stay current on recruiting technology, sourcing practices, labor-market trends, and emerging tools—including approved AI solutions—that can improve recruiting effectiveness.
• Ensure recruiting and selection activities are conducted in accordance with applicable employment laws, EEO/affirmative action requirements, company policies, and Tyndale standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-cycle corporate/in-house recruiting experience; demonstrated experience recruiting specialized IT or technical positions required. Additional agency experience is a plus. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success developing proactive sourcing strategies and recruiting hard-to-find talent.
• Ability to promote technical roles, learn terminology and translate hiring-manager requirements into effective candidate searches and screening criteria.
• Proven ability to serve as a consultative recruiting partner to hiring managers and the TA/HR team and influence recruiting strategies for specialized or difficult-to-fill positions.
• Experience recruiting within a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of employment law, EEO guidelines, and affirmative action requirements as they relate to recruiting and candidate selection.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruiting technology; iCIMS experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to establish credibility with candidates and leaders at all organizational levels.
• Excellent organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple active searches in a fast-paced environment.
• Resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable taking ownership of challenging searches while maintaining a high-quality candidate and hiring-manager experience.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

• Primarily operates in a professional office or remote work environment, with extended periods working on a computer screen. Potential for limited out-of-state air travel to attend conferences or training.
• Requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain focus in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Frequent collaboration with internal teams and candidates through virtual meetings, requiring clear written and verbal communication and responsiveness.
• Must be able to remain stationary for extended periods and occasionally adjust working hours to support work-related events, meet reporting deadlines and/or cross-functional initiatives.
• Hybrid work environment - 1 day a week onsite required.
