Tactics Development SME

Overview

B3H Corporation is seeking an experienced Tactics Development SME to support government-led maintenance and execution of all 505 Test and Training Group (TTG) formal courses. Additionally, they will provide support for 505 Command and Control Wing (CCW) operational-level training events (as required) and the 505 CCW/Advance Programs (AP) Air Component Special Technical Operations Planners Course (ACSTOPC).

Tactics Development support includes administrative and management responsibilities related to air component tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) as well as evolving training events (e.g., AGILE FLAG and ACE-related courses/events). This also includes Air Operations Center (AOC)/Air Force Forces (AFFOR) expertise to support a Lessons Learned (LL) role and a Knowledge Management (KM) professional to support the 505 CCW Tactics Development.

Responsibilities

• Provide necessary services to support AFTTP development, AFTTP/exercise and courseware information sharing, and AOC/AFFOR Lessons Learned (LL).
• Supports coordination for AFTTP updates and related products. Provides command liaison to other AOCs, AFFOR staffs, services, agencies, and training or exercise entities toensure the 505 CCW is active and aware of all evolving air component tactics, activities, requirements, and issues. CONUS and OCONUS travel will be required to support tactics development conferences e.g., CAFWEPTAC.
• Review and update C2WAC, LWC2C, and AISC academic and practical exercise modules to incorporate the most current processes and procedures utilized by air component staff supporting the Commander, Air Force Forces (COMAFFOR), Air Operation Center (AOC) leadership, and C2 force element positions at the Wing.
• Support senior-level courses for lessons related to their specific area of expertise.
• Prepare classrooms for instruction
• Operate academic equipment (i.e., projectors, televisions, computer learning stations, etc.)
• Issue required student courseware (Student Guides, handouts, approved changes, etc) required for course attendance to include maintaining student folders as required
• Ensure course materials are current prior to each instruction event
• Develop, review, and respond to end-of-phase and end-of-course critiques of academic instruction. Coordinate all critiques IAW the governing syllabus. Coordinate all student comments and courseware corrections, to include errata sheets, with the Government prior to use in the classroom. Provide completed critiques/student’s comments to the course manager for review.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive graduate evaluation plan used to determine academic instruction effectiveness, based on student’s feedback gained during practical field Falconer experience.
• Assist with maintaining continuity folders, reference material, audiovisual library, films, tapes and lesson courseware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited university or college.
• Current Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Possess a minimum of 10 years of Department of War military experience.
• Held a position and experience supporting one of the following areas, AOC strategy division, AOC combat plans division, AOC combat operations division, AOC intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance division, AFFOR staff (A2, A3, or A5), Non-kinetic Operations team.

• At least one year’s experience in AFCHQ operations at the operational level of warfare and at the Action Officer level.
• Practical experience and have actively participated in 2 or more planning events and have at least one year of experience in TTP development, to include contribution to Flash Bulletins, Tactics Bulletins, and AFTTP 3-1/3-3 re-writes and AOC/AFFOR expertise to support a Lessons Learned (LL) role.

• Ability to travel to various locations within and outside the continental United States (CONUS) in performance of the tasks.
