Job Purpose and Impact

The Swine Innovation Lead (Open to Remote within US) will champion the product innovation pipeline and commercialization of customer solutions with technical, marketing, and commercial leaders. In this role, you will execute business innovation growth projects and identify and build capabilities and offerings to meet customer needs

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a field related to animal nutrition, animal health, or animal science
• Minimum of four years of related work experience (including academic experience)
• Experience or knowledge in swine nutrition or animal nutrition and health
• Project management experience
• Research skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively explain technical concepts to diverse audiences across all organizational levels

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer facing technical service experience
• Practical experience in positional animal nutrition and health solutions
• Practical experience in product development or innovation
• Innovative, agile thinking and adaptability with strong attention to details

Key Accountabilities

• Partner with relevant stakeholders to execute an innovation pipeline aligned with regional business growth strategies, report on innovation earnings, and support business case development and delivery.
• Collaborate with regional strategic marketing and technology, research and development, and in-market sales and marketing leaders to develop insights and identify unmet customer needs and growth opportunities for new solutions.
• Lead innovation projects from ideation to launch, bringing new offerings and services to market with cross-functional project management.
• Lead research projects and execute applications development work, ensuring projects are appropriately resourced and executed.
• Build strong customer relationships at key accounts and identify customer needs and market opportunities and facilitate go-to-to-market plans and customer adoption with new and existing products and solutions.
• Develop and deliver training to internal and external stakeholders including sales, strategic marketing and technology team and customers.
• Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with animal welfare and product safety.
• Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Applicant Information

The expected salary for this position is $100,000 – 160,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
