Surgical Technologists at CentraCare are critical to successful surgeries! Your hands are often closer to the surgeon’s than anyone else’s.

Our Surg Techs are there to prepare for a patient’s arrival and stay in the operating room to ensure their best possible outcome. You’ll prepare operating rooms for a wide range of surgeries and procedures, inventory surgical materials and tools to assure patient safety, and suit up with surgeons to help them save and improve patients’ lives.

 Schedule:

• Part-Time, 56 hours every two weeks
• Monday through Friday day shifts, with rotating holidays 
• Off-premise call requiring a 30-minute response time during weeknights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay and Benefits:

•  Surgical Technologists starting pay begins at $29.34 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience
  • Pay range: $29.34 - $44.31 per hour

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program. 
• Associate Degree from a surgical first assistant program.

Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification as a Surgical Technologist required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Previous Surgical technician experience preferred.
• Must possess demonstrated communication skills, be team minded, able to read and communicate effectively in English, strong written and verbal skills and possess strong interpersonal human relations skills. 
• Ability to read and communicate effectively.  Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills. 
• Ability to work in a team environment and/or work independently as needed. 
• Respond onsite within 30 minutes when “on call”. 
• Basic computer knowledge required.
