Job Overview

Responsible for research, procurement, utilization of material and supplies in the Ground Support Annex through both the Navy Supply System and open purchase procedures. As directed, performs a variety of inventory/supply duties requiring an understanding of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, work methods, or other established guidelines.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties:

• Maintains various databases for all material requisitions from both Naval Supply System purchases and open purchases through civilian sources.
• Screens all procurement requests in order to assign applicable SM&R code, national stock number, part number, price, proper quantity, and proper reference.
• Originates necessary documents, forms, reports, and queries various computer work systems to extract information concerning property.
• Utilizes a module of an automated work management system to perform duties that interface with the other key users of the same system.
• Updates all applicable reports as required by contract and within company guidelines. Submits notification to the government on Lost, Damaged or Destroyed property as required by contract.
• Processes each demand by submitting required paperwork to include DD Form 1348 (Issue Release/Receipt Document) and DD Form 1149 (Requisition and Invoice/Shipping Document").
• Tracks and coordinates monthly calibration requirements.
• Reports all cost items and long lead-time items to GEMD Supervisor.
• Coordinates receipt of all incoming materials, delivery of materials to respective work centers, and obtaining signed receipt copies for filing.
• Performs all DRMO procedures to turn in or dispose of unused items.
• Maintains follow-ups on all outstanding requisitions.
• Adheres to the established Company Safety and Personnel policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Mandatory:

• Navy Aviation Supply Training.
• Three years of Material Procurement experience.
• Must possess a valid Nevada Driver's License.
• Possess an OSHA 10 card or have the ability to get one within the first 90 days of employment.
• Capable of passing a background check for CAC Card and/or drug test as required by the contract.
• Must be self-motivated.
• Must possess the ability to perform assigned work tasks without more than normal supervision.
• Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional and courteous manner.
• Must be able to comprehend, read, speak and write proficiently in the English language.

Working Conditions:

• Work is typically performed indoors.
• Work hours are subject to change, with overtime, shift and/or weekend work as needed.
• Subject to hazards that may cause personal bodily harm; diseases, cuts, bruises, burns, common colds, influenza, dust, odors, and elevated noise levels.
• Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard, cement structures and various surfaces.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision.

Physical Requirements:

• Involves bending, twisting and reaching.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
