Supervisor

Overview

K1 Speed is seeking motivated and dependable Supervisors to help lead our team at a fast-paced indoor karting venue. Supervisors are responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience, maintaining a safe environment, and supporting team members across all departments, including track operations, cashiering, and food and beverage.

This role is designed to prepare future leaders within the company. New hires will complete up to three months of hands-on training in all front-line positions before officially stepping into the Supervisor role. For the right candidate, this position offers significant growth potential beyond Supervisor.

Pay is flexible based on experience, and all employees participate in a company-wide tip-sharing program.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Oversee daily operations across all departments, including cashier, track, and food and beverage areas
• Lead, motivate, and support team members to ensure excellent guest service and efficient operations
• Train, coach, and provide feedback to staff to maintain high performance standards
• Serve as the acting leader on duty and make operational decisions when necessary
• Greet and assist customers, respond to inquiries, and resolve complaints in a friendly and professional manner
• Monitor and enforce safety procedures, track rules, and company policies to maintain a fun and safe environment
• Coordinate race scheduling to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Supervise and support cashiers in promoting and selling race packages, memberships, and food and beverage items
• Oversee food and beverage operations, including food preparation, alcohol service, and maintaining cleanliness in the Paddock Lounge and banquet areas
• Ensure karts and track areas are prepared for races and monitor live races to enforce safety rules
• Monitor and maintain the arcade area to ensure games are operating properly and guests have a positive experience
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations and safety concerns
• Perform and oversee opening, closing, cleaning, and facility maintenance duties
• Ensure inventory, supplies, and equipment are properly stocked and organized
• Assist in maintaining labor efficiency and meeting operational goals
• Assist with other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age or within three months of turning 21 and have reliable transportation
• Previous supervisor, leadership, or management experience is preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both staff and customers, including speaking in front of large groups
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Must be able to remain calm under pressure and effectively handle guest and employee concerns
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be willing and able to drive karts daily and enforce all safety procedures
• Must be willing to work in all operational departments as needed
• Food Handlers Certificate or willingness to obtain one

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach frequently
• Must be able to remain active and engaged in a high-energy environment
