Looking for more than a typical summer internship? At Signal Peak Energy, you’ll gain hands-on, real-world experience at Signal Peak Energy, located just outside Billings, Montana.
You’ll work side by side with experienced mining professionals and gain firsthand exposure to the equipment, technology, and day-to-day operations that power a modern underground mine. You won’t spend your summer simply observing or counting bolts, you’ll contribute to meaningful work, develop practical skills, build professional connections, and see how what you’ve learned in the classroom applies in a real working environment.
Signal Peak operates Montana’s only state-of-the-art underground coal mine and is the most productive longwall coal mine in the United States based on clean tons produced per employee hour.
