The Fidelity Intern Program (FIDTERN Program) 

Fidelity's full-time, paid, 10-week internship program offers students the opportunity to contribute to meaningful, real-world work and projects as valued members of a dedicated team. Our program is designed to provide students with firsthand experience of what it is like to work at Fidelity as a Systems Analyst.

The Role 

We're looking for curious, driven Systems Analyst interns who want to understand how technology and business come together to solve problems, improve customer experiences, and deliver value. 

• Support requirements gathering activities by participating in stakeholder discussions, documenting business needs, and helping clarify requirements. 

• Work on real projects across the full delivery lifecycle, gaining exposure to requirements analysis, solution design, testing, implementation, and production support. 

• Create and maintain documentation including user stories, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, process maps, and data flow diagrams. 

• Develop an understanding of business processes, system workflows, and data flows across multiple technology platforms. 

• Support data analysis activities by running queries, validating information, investigating issues, and identifying opportunities for improvement. 

• Assist with quality assurance efforts by developing test cases, executing tests, analyzing results, and documenting findings. 

• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, product teams, and business partners to help deliver solutions that support customer and business outcomes. 

• Explore emerging technologies, including AI tools, and learn how they can improve analysis, decision-making, and delivery effectiveness. 

Technical Exposure May Include

• Process Mapping and Workflow Analysis 

• Data Flow Analysis and Data Validation 

• SQL and Basic Querying Techniques 

• Testing, Quality Assurance, and Defect Management

• Documentation and Collaboration Tools 

• AI-Assisted Analysis and Emerging Technology Applications 

The Expertise and Skills You Bring 

• Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Software Engineering, Technology Management, or a related field. 

• Interest in understanding how technology solutions support business objectives and customer needs. 

• Familiarity with requirements gathering, documentation, systems analysis, or business process concepts through coursework, projects, or internships. 

• Foundational understanding of data concepts, including data flows, validation, or querying. 

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. 

• Ability to break down complex problems and ask thoughtful questions. 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. 

• Curiosity, attention to detail, adaptability, and a passion for continuous learning. 

• Current undergraduate student who will return to coursework following the internship. 

• Availability for the entire 10-week internship program

The base salary range for this position is $28 - $42 per hour.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
