Job Description Summary 

We are actively recruiting candidates to participate in our 2027 On-site Summer Internship program. This program is roughly 12 weeks in length and will immerse you into the culture and operations of Lonza Portsmouth.  

The Supply Chain Intern will support Scheduling, MRP Planning, Logistics, and Warehousing operations. This role offers hands-on experience with demand planning, SAP/ERP systems (via Michael Management training), and supply chain projects focused on operational excellence. The intern will assist with customer coordination, production scheduling, and inventory KPIs, while gaining exposure to tools like Access Orchestrate and contributing to weekly SAP reporting and master data management.

The internship program begins in May and ends in August. Potential interns must be able to commit to at least 40 hours per week throughout the duration of the summer internship. 

Required Education  

• Completion of junior year (typically 90 credits) towards a B.S. degree in a related field 

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (out of 4) required 

• Must currently be enrolled in BS or MS Academic Program 

Required Skills & Experience 

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills 

• Self-motivation and the ability to contribute as a team member 

• Ability to organize, plan and execute projects 

• Research skills and attention to detail

About Portsmouth 

Our Lonza Portsmouth site is a clinical-to-commercial, multi-product manufacturing facility located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, only 56 miles north of Boston, Massachusetts. The site, which employs over 1,500 employees, is a custom manufacturer of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies and recombinant proteins using mammalian cell culture.  

We offer an onsite cafeteria, fitness center and other amenities. The city of Portsmouth is home to many restaurants, museums, and theaters. The ocean and mountains are nearby, and we have major cities close by (Boston, Portland, Manchester).
