Job Summary

West Bend Insurance is currently seeking students for our 2027 Summer IT Internship Program!  The IT Internship Program provides opportunities to get hands-on experience with software engineering, data engineering, cloud computing, information security, business analysis, user experience design, or digital workspace. Students enrolled in a Computer Science, Engineering, or IT related program who have strong critical thinking skills and love solving problems should consider joining our team! Hybrid positions are available at our West Bend or Madison offices. 

Work Location

Fully onsite at the Madison, WI or West Bend, WI office. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

As an IT Intern, you will:

• Solve real business problems as part of an agile delivery team
• Pair with a mentor to learn and grow your skillset
• Give back to the community by participating in a community service project
• Work in an exciting, fast-paced office environment embedded on an IT team with access to the best amenities West Bend has to offer
• Depending on your area of interest, build and develop skills in some of the following areas:
• Software - Build solutions using modern development frameworks and tools, including C#, .NET, React, Typescript, and Git 
• Data - Gain hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Python, and SQL for data management and analytics

Preferred Skills Include:

• Experience working with some type of coding language
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Desire to learn, explore and discover
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to complete project-related tasks and meet deadlines

Students enrolled in a Computer Science, Engineering or IT related program who have strong written and verbal communication skills and love solving problems should consider joining our team!
