Job Summary:We are seeking an energetic and experienced Substitute Teacher to join our team! As a Substitute Teacher, you will teach classes using the curriculum provided by the school on a temporary or long-term basis. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and highly organized!
Responsibilities:
- Follow lesson plans left by the teacher or director
- Prepare any necessary learning materials
- Take attendance
- Track students’ progress and document for the regular classroom teacher
- Report behavioral incidents
Qualifications:
- Must have Fingerprints for childcare licensing and negative TB test
- Previous experience as a substitute teacher is preferred
- Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
- Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
