Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and caring substitute elementary teacher to support students in grades K–6. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with school-aged children and be committed to maintaining a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment.
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:45 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Daily Pay Rate:
$240 per day
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher
- Deliver instruction and assist students with classroom assignments
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and well-managed classroom
- Follow school policies, procedures, and daily schedules
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators
- Provide notes for the regular teacher regarding the day’s activities, student progress, and any classroom concerns
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Minnesota Department of Education substitute teaching license or be willing and eligible to obtain one
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Comfortable working with elementary students in grades K–6
- Previous teaching, classroom, or child-care experience is preferred
- Knowledge of the Ojibwe language is considered an asset
