Job Summary

The Substitute Teacher provides classroom instruction and supervision when the regular teacher is absent. The substitute maintains a safe, respectful, and faith-centered learning environment while following the lesson plans, policies, and expectations of the school.

Job Responsibilities

• Follow the lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the regular teacher.

• Provide instruction and support students in completing assigned work.

• Maintain a positive, orderly, and respectful classroom environment.

• Supervise students and enforce school policies and classroom expectations.

• Support the Catholic identity and mission of the school through respectful conduct and interactions.

• Encourage students to demonstrate Christian values such as respect, compassion, honesty, responsibility, and service.

• Take attendance and communicate important classroom information to the regular teacher.

• Maintain appropriate classroom routines and procedures.

• Report significant student behavior, concerns, or incidents to the appropriate school administrator.

• Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and school matters.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or school administration.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience working with children or in a classroom setting preferred.

• Ability to communicate effectively and work positively with students, faculty, staff

• Able to support all grade levels
