Job DetailsJob Location: Substance Abuse Prevention Program - Oakland - Troy, MI 48084They are professionals who are work with at-risk youth by conducting education about substance abuse and other high-risk activities. These specialists must plan and implement programs in schools or communities to encourage young adults to have a drug and alcohol-free lifestyle. 

Establishing and maintaining community-based contacts according to proposed project objectives, as well as identifying new community resources.
Maintaining curricula fidelity and program activity timelines.
Serving as facilitator/leader for curricula sessions.
Utilizing evaluation tools to gauge program effectiveness.
Gathering and analyzing appropriate process and evaluation data.
Submitting all reports in a timely manner and as required.
Working closely with Quality Assurance Committee and other community volunteers.
Fulfilling all other tasks necessary to ensure program success.
Regularly attend prevention related trainings to enhance skills and work towards certification.
Perform any other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications
Experienced working with at-risk youth and families – required
Strong knowledge of group dynamics/process and adolescent/youth issues
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Ability to effectively communicate in a variety of settings
Good public speaking skills
Strong leadership skills
Organizational and time management skills
Associate or Bachelor’s degree – preferred.
