Student Worker - RAMbassador/Admissions

Job Summary:

A RAMbassador works inside of the Life Sciences Building and Admission Cottage under the supervision of Undergraduate Admission Staff members and with assistance from RAMbassador student leadership roles. The role of the tour guide is to cultivate a memorable, welcoming and informative campus experience in order to allow prospective families to understand what it’s like to become a part of the DelVal family as an undergraduate student.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.  Cultivate a positive, welcoming, and informative campus tour for prospective students and their families.
2.  Answer questions and concerns of prospective students and their families before, on, and after tours or in a panel format
3.  Assist in setting up and clearing decorations and supplies during large admission events 
4.  Attendance at mandatory events and trainings 
5. Additional office and recruitment tasks as assigned
6. Other duties as assigned

Education Employment eligibility:

• Currently enrolled Delaware Valley University student
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide required documentation to verify identity and employment eligibility

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1.  Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills 
2.  Confidence to speak in front of large groups 
3. Positive attitude and effective time management skills

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

1. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
2. Occasionally lifting 25 lbs or less
3. Typically standing or walking
4. Outdoor exposure to weather
5. Exposure to moving machinery
6. May have an alternative work schedule
7. May be required to be on-call
