General Job Description:
A student scribe for the Learning Services department is a representative of the office both in the office and on campus. The appointed individual will:
- Listen to assigned audio recordings and produce detailed, accurate written notes.
- Work directly with students to clarify content, answer questions, and ensure notes meet their learning needs.
- Maintain confidentiality of all student information and course content.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and students regarding deadlines and note-taking preferences.
- Use phone etiquette, computer literacy is required.
- Enter data accurately.
- Run campus errands.
- Learn particulars/responsibilities of the office.
- Be friendly and outgoing/team player.
Salary and Hours
- Students are paid the current minimum wage for Maryland.
- Students will work a total of eight (8) hours per week.
