Student Worker - Front Desk Assistant- Enrollment Services
The Blinn College District is searching for a Student Worker - Front Desk Assistant- Enrollment Services at our Brenham Campus.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities are listed below:
Job Summary
To
provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and administrators,
using professionalism at the front desk. In person to educate, facilitate,
and grow enrollment at Blinn. Provide office support and assistance in
various day to day operations.
Principal Accountabilities
- Assist customers in the lobby with applying,
submitting documentation for Admissions, Financial Aid, Business Services,
and Housing and Residence Life. - Use a personal computer and a variety of office software
applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and
e-mail. - Organize and maintain files, both hard copy
and electronic, while ensuring confidentiality of records. - Operate standard office equipment (e.g.,
copier, scanner, fax, binding machine, telephone, etc.) - Provide excellent customer service to faculty, staff and
students. - Provide clerical assistance to Enrollment Services office
- Other duties as assigned to assist with
daily responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications/ Required Degree, License or Certifications
Must be willing to learn and train effectively and efficiently within a team oriented environment.
Minimum Competencies
- Must be federal work study eligible
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Good leadership skills
- Sensitive to individuals who require special assistance
- Value diversity
- Available to work approximately 15 hours per semester
Preferred Qualifications
- High School degree or GED
- Previous customer service experience
- Excellent computer skills, including
proficiency in all Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Previous clerical experience
Special Notes To Applicants
10 to 19 hours per week, depending on work-study approval.
Must be able to lift and/or carry 50 lbs.
Must have a great attitude and willing to be flexible with hours of operation.
