JOB SUMMARY |
The Biology Department is seeking detail-oriented and motivated student workers to provide administrative support to faculty, staff, and departmental operations. This position offers the opportunity to gain professional office experience in an academic setting. |
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES |
Assist with front desk coverage, answering phones, and greeting visitors Support faculty and staff with copying, scanning, and filing Help organize departmental records and maintain office supplies Assist in scheduling, event preparation, and departmental communications Perform other clerical tasks as assigned |
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS |
Federal Work Study (FWS) eligibility is required Current university student in good academic standing Strong communication and organizational skills Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality |
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS |
Maintain filing system, contacts database, employee lists, and inventories. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong time-management and multitasking abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information |
