Student - Student Engagement Manager

The Student Engagement Manager serves as the student leader of the Student Engagement Officer (SEO) team and supports the successful execution of daily outreach and engagement activities. Working closely with the Student Engagement Fellow and Director of The Ursinus Fund, the Manager provides peer leadership, assists with project coordination, and helps create a positive and productive team environment.
This position is designed for an experienced SEO who demonstrates strong leadership, communication, organization, and mentorship skills. The Manager serves as a resource for fellow student employees and helps ensure outreach projects are completed effectively and professionally. 

Specific Responsibilities:

Shift Coordination and Outreach Execution

• Manage Homebase, the team's scheduling and attendance platform.
• Help ensure Student Engagement Officers understand their assignments, goals, and priorities during each shift.
• Monitor completion of assigned projects and follow up with team members to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Provide peer support and guidance during outreach activities, answering questions and assisting with day-to-day challenges.
• Escalate constituent concerns, unusual situations, or technical issues to the Student Engagement Fellow or Director of The Ursinus Fund as appropriate.
• Conduct and coordinate outreach efforts through phone calls, emails, and text messages as part of structured engagement and solicitation campaigns.
• Document specific engagement in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge and other designated systems.

Project Support

• Assist with the implementation of outreach campaigns, stewardship initiatives, and engagement projects.
• Help coordinate student participation in Advancement events, alumni programs, admissions initiatives, and other special projects.
• Assist with event registration processes and provide support for event registration systems and training when needed.
• Gather feedback from Student Engagement Officers and share recommendations to enhance the student employee experience.

Communication and Team Engagement

• Assist the Student Engagement Fellow in monitoring and responding to inquiries received through [email protected].
• Serve as a liaison between Student Engagement Officers and program leadership by communicating student questions, concerns, feedback, and suggestions.
• Assist with team meetings and provide updates on project progress, outreach efforts, and team accomplishments.
• Support efforts to foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture among Student Engagement Officers.

Qualifications:

• Must be a current full-time student at Ursinus College
• Active involvement in campus activities.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities.
• At least one academic reference.
• Strong skills in marketing, communications, event management, data analytics, and donor engagement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using technology for communication and reporting.

Departmental Accountabilities:

• Works collaboratively with colleagues and team members in the Advancement Office and throughout the college. Participates in Advancement Office meetings and other key college staff meetings
• Possesses knowledge and experience with computer programs that support the Advancement Department including Microsoft Office programs and Raiser’s Edge.
