Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Grounds Maintenance: Help maintain a clean, safe, and beautiful campus by collecting trash, mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, watering, mulching, and performing general landscaping tasks.
- Event Support: Set up and tear down tables, chairs, furniture, tents, and equipment for campus events, athletic competitions, and special events.
- Athletic Field Support: Assist with preparing, maintaining, and restoring athletic fields and facilities before and after practices and events.
- General Labor: Move furniture and equipment, support seasonal grounds maintenance projects, and assist Facilities staff with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be a current Wheaton College student.
- Reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work involving bending, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- No previous experience required—training will be provided.
Schedule
- Flexible scheduling around classes and extracurricular commitments.
- Minimum availability of 8 hours per week.
- Up to 30 hours per week during eligible student employment periods.
