Position Summary:
To assist the Theatre Department in providing costumes and props for Theatre productions, as well as maintaining order in the costume shop between productions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work with a variety of fabrics and other materials in preparing costumes
- Operate various machines and tools in order to refine and alter costumes
- Construct props using a variety of tools and materials
- Maintain and organize the costume shop between productions
- Assist in the tear down, restocking and organizing of all props at the end of a production
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications:
- Must be able to sew and use a sewing machine. Basic sewing is required, but moderate and skilled sewing is a bonus
- Able to follow direction and ask for help when unclear on responsibilities
- Able to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced environment with specific deadlines
- Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community

- Confidentiality: Maintains discretion and handles sensitive information appropriately.

- Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related software.
- Written & Verbal Communication: Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
- Punctuality & Initiative: Prompt, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting responsibilities.
- Background Check: Must pass background check as a condition of employment.
