Strategic Pricing Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic Pricing Lead based in United States.

This highly visible role leads pricing, packaging, licensing, and monetization strategy across an enterprise software portfolio.
You will develop data-driven commercial strategies designed to balance revenue growth, profitability, market competitiveness, and customer value.
The role spans software, SaaS, subscription, recurring revenue, cloud, AI, and emerging monetization models.
You will combine pricing analytics and competitive intelligence with financial modeling to guide important commercial and portfolio decisions.
Working closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Revenue Operations, and executive leaders, you will influence how products are positioned and brought to market.
You will also support launches, acquisitions, portfolio integrations, and strategic customer opportunities with rigorous pricing recommendations.
This is a remote opportunity with occasional travel for strategic planning, customer engagements, and executive meetings.

Accountabilities:

• Lead the development and execution of pricing strategies across software, SaaS, subscription, and recurring revenue offerings.
• Evaluate pricing models, packaging structures, licensing frameworks, feature tiers, and product bundles to improve customer adoption and business performance.
• Develop recommendations for consumption-based, platform, AI, and other emerging monetization models.
• Support pricing and packaging decisions for new product launches, portfolio expansions, acquisitions, and integrations.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue, improve retention, expand margins, and accelerate growth through commercial optimization.
• Establish and maintain competitive pricing intelligence across cybersecurity, identity security, data security, platform management, and related enterprise software markets.
• Analyze competitor pricing, packaging, licensing, go-to-market approaches, customer buying behavior, and broader market trends.
• Develop executive-ready assessments and recommendations that inform product roadmaps, investments, and monetization decisions.
• Build and maintain financial models covering pricing scenarios, market opportunities, elasticity, revenue impact, profitability, and portfolio optimization.
• Analyze bookings, renewals, win/loss trends, customer adoption, discounting, and other commercial performance indicators.
• Develop business cases, dashboards, and executive reporting to measure pricing effectiveness and strategic impact.
• Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, and Revenue Operations on pricing governance, discount management, strategic deals, and complex enterprise negotiations.
• Define pricing policies, approval processes, commercial frameworks, and tools that promote consistent and effective pricing decisions.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Product Marketing to align pricing with product value, roadmap priorities, positioning, customer demand, and differentiated value propositions.
• Support Finance with forecasting, strategic planning, margin analysis, and investment decisions, while providing executive leadership with data-driven portfolio recommendations.
• Lead pricing workstreams for mergers, acquisitions, portfolio rationalization, cloud transitions, AI-powered solutions, and emerging markets.
• Drive continuous improvement of pricing methodologies, governance, tools, and processes.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in pricing strategy, product management, product operations, management consulting, revenue operations, business strategy, or related analytical roles within enterprise software.
• Proven track record developing pricing, packaging, licensing, or monetization strategies that generated measurable business outcomes.
• Strong experience influencing executive decisions through quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and strategic recommendations.
• Experience in SaaS, cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, identity, or enterprise software markets is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• MBA or another advanced degree is preferred.
• Relevant certifications or training in pricing strategy, financial analysis, product management, or business strategy are advantageous.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate complex datasets into clear commercial recommendations.
• Excellent financial modeling and business case development capabilities.
• Strong understanding of pricing, packaging, licensing, discounting, customer value, and enterprise commercial models.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Revenue Operations, and executive leadership.
• Strong strategic thinking and business judgment, combined with the ability to execute detailed analytical work.
• Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives and operate effectively in a highly cross-functional environment.
